A 13-year-old boy was busted for his role in the vicious mugging of a 76-year-old man in the Bronx over the weekend, cops said.
The teen — whose name was not released by cops because he is underage — was nabbed Monday evening and charged with robbery for the heartless attack on the man nearly six times his age in the Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood, authorities said.
The victim was walking at Webb and Sedgwick avenues early Sunday when the boy – joined by two other young-looking crooks – came up to him on mopeds, police said.
One of the youngsters knocked the septuagenarian to the ground with a single punch to the head, cops said.
The trio then rifled through the elderly man’s pockets and grabbed his cell phone — which one of them smashed on the sidewalk, damaging the screen, cops said.
The victim was treated by first responders for a cut and pain to his head, police said.
The youngster’s alleged accomplices were still on the loose as of Tuesday.
Video released by the NYPD late Monday shows the suspected muggers wearing winter coats with their hoods pulled up.
Two mopeds are visible in the footage.
