Police have arrested a brute accused of raping a 49-year-old woman during a horrifying armed robbery in Brooklyn over the weekend.
Mohammed Izzeddin, 22, of Bay Ridge, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with rape, robbery, assault and several other charges, according to police.
His traumatized victim said she hasn’t been able to sleep since Saturday’s vicious attack.
The victim told Pix 11 that she and two female co-workers were at an unnamed business near 9th Avenue and 59th Street around 6 p.m. Saturday, when a pair of robbers forced their way through the door.
The victim, who does not speak English, said “the bad guy hit me in the face very hard,” after getting inside.
Izzeddin also choked her before he and his accomplice swiped $300 in cash from the business, she said.
She then said she was raped by Izzedin while the accomplice held the two other workers at knifepoint and ordered them to be quiet.
The pair ran off with the money and the woman was taken to a local hospital.
Izzedin is charged with rape, assault, sex abuse, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching, menacing and harassment.
The accomplice remains at large.
