Blood discovered near a Washington state campsite where three young sisters were found dead last week belonged to a man, cops revealed — as the massive manhunt for their Army veteran dad continued.
Authorities have been searching for Travis Decker, 32, ever since he failed to return his daughters — Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5 — to his ex-wife after a scheduled custody visit back on May 30.
The bodies of the girls were discovered three days later at the campground in Wenatchee, roughly three hours east of Seattle, with plastic bags over their heads with their wrists zip-tied, police said.
Decker’s abandoned truck was also found at the scene with two bloody handprints smeared on the tailgate.
Tests have since determined that blood samples taken from the scene came from a male, while another turned out to be from an animal, investigators said.
Decker’s dog also found alive at the scene and later turned over to the humane society for care.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office didn’t offer up any further details on the blood samples.
Meanwhile, autopsy results for the girls determined they’d been suffocated, authorities previously revealed.
It comes as the hunt for Decker — a former soldier with extensive survival skills — continued.
He has been charged with murder and kidnapping, as well as a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
