The evil dad who allegedly murdered his baby son, Emmanuel Haro, previously beat a newborn daughter so severely she was “permanently bedridden” with cerebral palsy — but never served hard time, according to an outraged prosecutor who blames it on the dad being free to kill.

Jake Haro, 32, pleaded guilty in 2023 to savagely beating a 10-week-old daughter he had with a previous wife — just two years before he allegedly murdered his 7-month-old son, Emmanuel.

Haro was first charged in 2018 when the then-newborn was hospitalized with brain injuries, multiple bone fractures and bleeding eyes, according to court documents obtained by People.

“The child’s name is Carolina. She’s still alive today, but she is permanently bedridden,” Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin stressed to reporters at a press conference on Wednesday.

“She has permanent damage, cerebral palsy that is a result of long-term child abuse,” he said. “Someone who does that to a child belongs in prison, period.”

Despite pleading guilty, Haro was allowed to stay free. The judge suspended his six-year prison sentence and instead made him do six months in a work release program and 4 years of probation.

“That decision was absolutely outrageous,” the DA raged, saying the dad “should have been in prison” when he and his current wife allegedly murdered their baby son.

“If that judge had done his job as he should have done, Emmanuel would be alive today. And that’s a shame, and it’s an outrage.”

Haro and his wife, Rebecca Haro, 41, are currently being held on a $1 million bail as authorities continue to search for their son’s remains.

Jake Haro was then reportedly tricked by an undercover inmate into admitting that he killed his 7-month-old son and dumped his body in a trash can.

Officials believe young Emmanuel may have been dead for weeks from his parents’ abuse before the bogus kidnapping report.
