A new photo released by the NYPD shows the young suspect who allegedly stabbed a teen during a robbery on a Brooklyn train this week.
The 15-year-old boy was riding a northbound L train approaching East 105th Street in Canarsie around 8 p.m. Sunday when he and a stranger — believed to be a teen himself — got into a clash, police said.
As the dispute turned physical, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the teen in the hip before snatching his cellphone, cops said.
The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The photo released about a day after the stabbing shows the still-at-large suspect — who police believe is between 15 and 17 years old — walking on the subway platform.
The alleged stabber, who has a dark complexion, a beard and short dreadlocks, is seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and carrying a backpack.
Police say he also wore black sweatpants at the time of the assault.
He is about 5 feet 11 and around 140 pounds.
