Two people — including a teenager — were shot and killed during a night of gun violence in New York City Saturday.
The bloodshed began shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday in Manhattan’s East Harlem, where authorities discovered a 55-year-old man suffered severe gunshot wounds to the torso and leg.
Police received a report of the incident around 11:26 p.m., and responded to East 116 Street and Lexington Avenue to find the badly wounded victim.
EMS brought the unnamed man to New York City Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was later pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
The brutality continued Sunday morning in Middle Village, Queens, when police responded to a 911 call just after 3 a.m. involving a 19-year-old who had sustained a gunshot wound to the torso in Queens.
Police responded to 79-45 Metropolitan Avenue at approximately 3:25 a.m. and found the injured teen on a busy commercial stretch, just steps away from St. John’s Cemetery.
The victim was transported by ambulance to New York City Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he later died from his injuries.
A 21-year-old male was also brought by private means to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the slain teen has not been revealed, pending family notification, police said.
