Two people were whacked in the head with a baseball bat by the same apparent assailant in separate attacks in Queens Saturday.
The first victim, a 46-year-old man, was hit in the back of the head with a bat at Astoria Park around 6:10 p.m., according to the police.
The suspect, described as male on on a skateboard, fled the scene cops said.
The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
A short time later, a 79-year-old man was struck in the forehead with a bat 19th Street and 20th Avenue — just a few blocks from the park, cops said.
The assailant was described as male matching the description of the suspect from the earlier attack.
The 79-year-old was taken to Cornell Hospital and is also in stable condition, according to police.
Police canvassed the area and a person of interest was taken into custody. No charges have been filed.
It’s not clear if the perpetrator was known to the victims.
