A suspected gunman who wounded a 12-year-old girl with a stray bullet during a wild shooting spree in the Bronx over the Fourth of July weekend is seen in new NYPD surveillance footage wearing a hoodie emblazoned with a distinctive message: “Respectfully I’m from Brooklyn.”
The shooter opened fire around 9:40 p.m. July 2 on Eastburn Avenue near East 175th Street in Mount Hope, hitting four victims, authorities said.
The innocent pre-teen was struck in the shoulder, while her 35-year-old aunt was shot in the foot, police said.
A 23-year-old man struck in the thigh by one of the slugs was also wounded.
All three were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment.
A fourth victim, a 22-year-old man, walked into BronxCare Health System with a gunshot wound to the toe after the gunfire, cops said.
The video, released by the NYPD late Thursday, shows the suspected gunman walking near the shooting scene wearing the distinguishing black sweatshirt, with the hood pulled up over his head.
He also wore black sweatpants and black sneakers, and carried an orange backpack.
The still-at-large suspect is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, from 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-11, with a dark complexion and a medium build, police said.
