A woman was fatally shot in the face during a fight in the Bronx late Sunday – one of five people shot in less than seven hours across the Big Apple overnight, police said.
Lashawn Andrews, 24, was clashing with two other women around 11:30 p.m. on East 178th Street near Park Avenue in East Tremont when she was shot, authorities said.
Andrews – who lived around the corner from the scene – became unconscious and unresponsive and was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
The women fled in a black vehicle heading south on Park Avenue, cops said.
No arrests have been made.
Also Sunday night, a 47-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks and a 31-year-old man in the hand at White Plains Road and East 216th Street in Olinville around 8 p.m., police said.
Both victims went to Jacobi Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition. The NYPD could not confirm whether either of the victims were intended targets.
The suspect fled in a gray sedan heading west on East 216th Street, cops said.
Then around 9:15 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in the torso at Union Avenue and East 165th Street in Morrisania, police said.
He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was also listed in stable condition.
The violence continued around 2:30 a.m. Monday, when a 29-year-old man was shot, also in the torso, at West 190th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue in Fort George, cops said.
He was taken to Harlem Hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
