A man was arrested at a Midtown hotel-turned-migrant shelter Saturday as part of a child endangerment investigation, police said.
The 30-year-old was taken into custody shortly before 9 p.m. at the iconic Roosevelt Hotel, located at 45 East 45th St.
The man is the 11-year-old alleged victim’s father, according to law enforcement sources.
Sexual abuse was not a factor in the investigation, per a 911 call.
Police said charges against the man are pending.
The arrest is just the latest in a string of chaos at the century-old hotel since it was transformed into a migrant shelter in May.
The makeshift shelter reached capacity last weekend, forcing dozens of desperate and exhausted asylum seekers to take refuge on the streets.
Heartbreaking images showed crowd-control ropes separating the migrants from passersby, as those waiting for access to proper shelter huddled under blankets with their belongings alongside them.
Violence has occasionally erupted at the overwhelmed hotel, including when an asylum seeker bashed an employee in the head with a “No Parking” sign in June after the worker booted him from the building for unruly behavior.
Other migrant shelters throughout the city have also seen their share of arrests.
On Thursday, a 20-year-old migrant woman was arrested after she slapped an NYPD officer who was attempting to confiscate her unregistered motorbike in front of the Stratford Arms Hotel on the Upper West Side.
