An ex-security worker at a Queens hotel was charged with attempted murder this week for allegedly firing at a migrant during a heated fight, police sources told The Post Friday.
Josue Payamps, 33, was working an administrative job for a security company at the Holiday Inn’s LaGuardia West site on 10th Street near 37th Avenue in Dutch Kills – which is being used to house migrants – when he got into a fight with one of the asylum seekers on Sept. 5, the sources said.
Payamps was fired from the company following the violent feud with the 28-year-old migrant, the sources said.
But he returned to the hotel around 8:30 p.m. the same day and got into another fight with the same man, according to the sources.
When a crowd formed, Payamps went to his car and allegedly grabbed a gun and fired a single round, the sources said.
The migrant told investigators Paymaps shot at him but missed, cops said.
No one else was hit, and no property damage was reported.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the clash between Payamps and the migrant.
Payamps was arrested around 11:15 a.m. Thursday and charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, police said.
His arraignment was pending Friday.
