Three Philadelphia police officers were shot and a suspected gunman was killed on Wednesday night, according to local reports.
Police had responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Whitaker Avenue in the city’s Rhawnhurst neighborhood when the officers came under fire from the suspect, police told CBS News.
Officers returned fire, killing one suspect, WPVI reported.
One officer was shot in the leg, another in the arm and the third was shot in the hand, police sources told the station.
All three officers were taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and are listed as stable, according to CBS.
