A baby-faced straphanger allegedly stuck pieces of wood out of a moving train to assault four commuters who were waiting at several Queens subway platforms last week, police said.
The bizarre attacks — which left two victims hospitalized — were reported at three subsequent R train stops on Oct. 5, according to the NYPD.
Around 12:30 p.m., a 59-year-old woman waiting on the southbound platform at Grand Avenue station was struck in the throat by a piece of wood by a passenger aboard the train.
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
Ten minutes later, two men waiting on the southbound R platform at Elmhurst Avenue reported a person on the train held a piece of wood out of a moving train and tossed it at them.
No injuries were reported, cops said.
Then, at 12:42 p.m., a 56-year-old woman waiting on the southbound R platform at Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station was hit in the head with a piece of wood by an individual stuck out of the same moving train.
She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she received stitches for her injuries, police said.
The suspect remained on the train after all three incidents and remains at large, according to police.
NYPD released a photo of a young suspect wearing a black sweater, black pants and orange backpack as he walked through the turnstile.
