Plenty of fans brawl inside the stadiums during NFL games.
Two San Antonio residents took it to a completely different level Monday night when they stabbed each other multiple times while arguing about noise level during the Cowboys-Chargers “Monday Night Football” game, according to ksat.com.
Both men are expected to recover from their wounds, per San Antonio police, and an investigation is currently underway.
The police added that it’s yet to be determined what charges may be filed.
The two men, both in their 50s, live near each other, according to San Antonio police, and the disagreement and subsequent stabbings happened around 9:40 p.m.
The pair fought with one another, equipped themselves with knives and then stabbed one another multiple times, according to the report.
The men were then taken to separate hospitals, with one man going to Brooke Army Medical Center and the other going to University Hospital, per the report.
The San Antonio Police Department, Fire Department and EMS all were called to the scene, according to ksat.com.
It’s unknown whether or not both men were Cowboys fans, but they likely missed the end of Dallas’ 20-17 victory in Inglewood, Calif.
The Cowboys rallied from an early 7-0 hole and their defense shined in the final minutes, tallying a late interception of Justin Herbert to improve to 4-2.
This win came on the heels of Dallas’ 42-10 blowout loss to the 49ers that had many questioning if the Cowboys were a serious Super Bowl contender.
Dak Prescott rebounded with a solid showing and the offense did just enough to drop the Chargers to 2-3.
“It’s early in the season but 4-2 or 3-3, it’s a huge difference. Yeah, it just is,” Prescott said, per ESPN. “Yeah … it’s early in the season. I’ve been in a 3-5 season that we turned around and went on a win streak and won the division … but 4-2, second road win of the year, against a great team, against a great offense, great defense.”
