UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis was arrested in Texas last Wednesday after allegedly driving a red Lamborghini 136 mph in a 50-mph zone, according to multiple reports.
Harris County court records show that Lewis, 38, was charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and was released on a $100 bond.
Fox 26 in Houston reported, citing authorities, that Lewis allegedly swerved between lanes and that school buses were on the road during the incident.
Lewis also allegedly passed a law enforcement officer while driving recklessly, according to ABC 13.
The arrest came 10 days before Lewis, who has the most knockouts in UFC history with 14, is scheduled to headline UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday.
Lewis (27-11) is set to face Brazilian Jailton Almeida (19-2.)
Lewis most recently fought on July 29 at UFC 291, when he defeated Marcos Rogerio de Lima by TKO in 33 seconds.
That snapped a three-fight losing streak.
Lewis has challenged for the UFC heavyweight title twice; he lost to then-champion Daniel Cormier by submission in the second round at UFC 230 on Nov. 3, 2018, and lost to Ciryl Gane by third-round TKO at UFC 265 on Aug. 7, 2021, in an interim title fight.
Lewis is scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 27.
