A 5-year-old girl was slashed in the face in a broad-daylight attack in the Bronx Friday, cops said.
The girl was knifed in the right side of the face around 3:10 p.m. at the corner of Third Avenue and East Tremont Avenue – near Walter Gladwin Park, police said.
A public elementary school, P723X@Astor, is also located at that intersection.
Police responded to a 911 call about the attack and the youngster was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
No arrests were immediately made, and the NYPD did not have information on a suspect or motive by the early evening.
