A pair of masked dognappers are being sought for stealing six teacup poodle puppies from a Bronx apartment, police said this week.
The thieves somehow got their hands on the keys to a unit in a building on Vyse Avenue and East 174th Street – blocks from Crotona Park – and slipped inside around 9:30 a.m. Nov. 10, authorities said.
They then swooped up the tiny puppies and stuffed them in a duffle bag before taking off, cops said.
Teacup poodles are typically no more than 9 inches tall and weigh less than 6 pounds.
The still-at-large suspects were pictured in stills from surveillance footage released by the NYPD late Monday.
Both are seen wearing white face masks, and one had on a maroon hoodie and the other a black hoodie.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, or on X at @NYPDTips.
