A school bus driver with several different aliases sexually abused a child on Long Island — and subjected the girl to attacks for nearly two years, authorities and law enforcement sources said Thursday.
Miguel Enrique Diaz, 47, a pervy bus operator for Bay Shore Middle School and Brook Elementary School allegedly abused a child, who is now 13-years-old, between May 2022 and October 2023, according to Suffolk County Police.
It’s unclear where the attacks occurred but law enforcement sources told The Post that none of the abuse took place on the bus or the school.
“We have been notified by the Suffolk County Police Department that all incidents of alleged abuse did not occur on district property, within district buildings, or on buses transporting students for the district,” Steven J. Maloney, the Superintendent of the Bay Shore School District, told parents.
Maloney added that Diaz was employed by the bus provider Suffolk Transportation.
“The District has taken immediate actions to ensure that the employee of Suffolk Transportation will no longer participate in providing any driving duties for the District,” Maloney added.
Diaz has multiple names, several different dates of birth and multiple countries where he claims to be from, the source told The Post.
The accused sicko was arrested at his Bay Shore home Wednesday night and charged with course of sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Officials said the abuse came to light after a community therapist reported the sickening incidents to detectives at the Special Victims Unit in early March.
The alleged perv was awaiting arraignment Thursday afternoon.
Police urged parents who believe their child may be a victim of Diaz’s to call the Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531.
