A violent homeless man on parole for felony assault has been nabbed for randomly punching an elderly woman in the head in Brooklyn, cops and law enforcement sources said Friday.
Mouhamed Diallo, 29, slugged his 72-year-old victim in the back of her skull as she walked at the corner of Fourth Avenue and 96th Street in Bay Ridge around 4:50 p.m. Sunday, May 5, authorities said.
The attacker ran off after the assault, leaving the senior with bleeding and swelling to her head, police said.
She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
A surveillance photo of the suspect was released, and Diallo was busted around 6 p.m. Thursday and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, cops said.
He was nabbed in the confines of the NYPD’s 60th Precinct, which covers the Coney Island, Brighton Beach and Sea Gate neighborhoods.
Diallo has 10 prior arrests — eight for assault and two for robbery, according to cops and sources.
Five of the assaults took place in Brooklyn, and three of them inside a correctional facility in the Bronx, according to the sources.
One of them was for felony assault, and Diallo was freed in February on that crime and put on parole ’til November 2028, law enforcement sources said.
He was nabbed the same day another creep randomly punched and slashed a 64-year-old woman in a vicious attack on a Queens street, cops said.
