President Biden’s disastrous open-border policy is to blame for the horrific rape of a 13-year-old girl inside a Queens park, her distraught dad told The Post.
A week after his daughter was allegedly raped by Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, the father charged “This is what happens” when undocumented migrants are allowed to flood into the US unchecked.
“The open border policy, I have never agreed with, because that just invites a lot of things that we don’t need,” said the 70-year-old dad, whose name is being withheld by The Post to protect his daughter’s identity. “And look what came in. Look what happened to my daughter.”
Inga-Landi, 25 — who crossed the Texas border in 2021 and was ordered to leave the country by a New York City immigration judge last February — was arrested Tuesday for allegedly forcing the girl and a teenage boy into a wooded area of Kessina Park at knifepoint on June 13, tying and gagging them, and raping the girl in broad daylight.
The dad said the family has “been going through hell” since the depraved attack.
“It just turned my world upside down, and the healing process has yet to begin . . . My mind is really swirling with all of the anger I have right now,” he said during a phone call from the family’s Flushing home on Thursday.
When asked about his daughter’s state, he simply replied, “You can’t even imagine. So let’s just leave it at that.”
Inga-Landi’s arrest after five days on the run was “definitely a relief,” the dad said.
“Obviously it’s very devastating for our family, but with this guy being where he is right now, that’s great, because we can proceed and concentrate on something else,” he said.
The father praised the good Samaritans who subdued the suspect and held him for police.
“I would have done the same thing if it was someone else’s child . . . I definitely would have. No hesitation,” he said.
“You don’t need someone like that walking around, driving around, biking around, looking for spots where he can be a predator.”
Things would have looked even worse for Inga-Landi if the girl’s dad had also gotten ahold of him – despite his age.
“Especially when you have a child that’s been violated viciously, the instinct that I have is . . . thank God I didn’t see this guy,” the father said
Inga-Landi – who was already facing immigration charges – chillingly admitted during his Wednesday arraignment that he recorded the assault.
A judge ordered him held without bail on charges of rape, predatory sexual assault, kidnapping, and a raft of other felonies.
Inga-Landi already had a history of violence with women, according to sources and a police report from January.
He had a custody dispute with his ex-wife over their children on Jan. 1, 2024, police sources said. He was dropping off the couple’s two kids at the 24-year-old woman’s Queens pad when Inga-Landi tried to confront her new boyfriend.
He departed after cops were called. The woman told police Inga-Landi beat her while she was pregnant and that she feared for her children’s safety around him, the sources said.
