Two female tourists from Mexico were shoved onto train tracks by another woman at a Manhattan subway station early Monday, the NYPD and sources said.
The victims, aged 20 and 27, were pushed off the northbound F platform at the Delancey Street/Essex Street station in Lower East Side just after 2:15 a.m., according to cops.
A bystander rushed to help and pulled the two women safely back onto the platform, police said.
No train was incoming at the time of the incident.
Officers already assigned to patrol the station quickly took the female perp into custody.
No details on the suspect were immediately available and charges are still pending, cops said.
It also wasn’t immediately clear why the suspect, who did not appear to know the two women, targeted the victims.
The women, who law enforcement sources say were on vacation from Mexico, were taken to Bellevue Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
