They’ve packed their suitcases and headed home.

Non-binary ex-nuclear official Sam Brinton is free on bond after spending more than two weeks in jail over a third accusation of stealing women’s luggage.

Brinton was arrested May 17 for being a “fugitive from justice,” and held in custody in Montgomery County, Maryland until Thursday.

The ex-Biden administration appointee — who uses they/them pronouns — was then extradited to Arlington County in Virginia, officials from both prisons confirmed to The Post.

Brinton, 35, briefly appeared before a magistrate and was released by a judge on $5,000 bond.

The ex-Department of Energy employee is facing Grand Larceny charges over the alleged theft of a case belonging to a Tanzanian fashion designer from Ronald Reagan National Airport, but a prosecutor in Virginia has yet to file charges.

Designer Asya Khamsin took to social media after she said she spotted her one-of-a-kind fashions on Brinton, who was in the headlines over two incidents of stealing women’s luggage at airports.

Khamsin claimed she lost her luggage at the Washington, D.C. airport in 2018.

The designer, who spoke to The Post in February, said, “I was thinking, ‘Who took my bag, where is it?’ for a long time. Then I see images of the outfits [being worn by Brinton] and I was so confused and upset.

“I was thinking, where did he get those clothes – because I didn’t think he was a thief.”

Khamsin’s attorney told The Post his client provided federal authorities with information regarding clothing found at Brinton’s Rockland, Maryland home, in relation to the current charges.

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is leading the investigation.

Both of Brinton’s other cases regarding luggae theft are now closed.

Brinton previously pleaded no contest to stealing a woman’s suitcase from Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport on July 22.

As part of a plea deal, Brinton agreed to undergo a mental health evaluation and was given a 180-day suspended sentence and pay $3,670.74 in restitution for the luggage, jewelry and makeup.

Brinton also faced similar charges in Minnesota after they were caught grabbing a woman’s Vera Bradley bag from the carousel at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport after yanking off the ID tags.

Brinton served as the Biden administration’s deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the DOE’s Office of Nuclear Energy before being fired after videos of them swiping the suitcases went viral.
