Let the influx of Diddy documentaries begin.

A new high-profile docuseries about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged sex crimes was announced on Wednesday, just two days after the hip-hop star was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

The untitled series got the green light from the Investigation Discovery network and is being produced by the creators of “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” the docuseries that shed light on the alleged toxic culture behind the scenes of some of the most well-known children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

According to a press release, the new series is already in production and will explore “the rise and influence of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have trailed the music mogul.”

Following the surfacing of “accounts of sexual assault, abusive behaviors, and other disturbing claims,” the doc “traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity.”

The docuseries will reportedly feature “harrowing testimony” from individuals who allege Combs committed “acts of violence and brutality” against them and interviews with friends and colleagues who knew and worked with Combs before he became a star.

With the help of archival footage and in-depth reporting from Rolling Stone, the program promises to “offer insight into unfolding allegations against the once untouchable superstar.”

The multipart series is slated to premiere in 2025 on ID and streaming service Max.

Combs was arrested by agents from Homeland Security Investigations at a New York City hotel on Monday night following a three-count indictment from a grand jury on three federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

On Tuesday, he was arraigned in a Manhattan court, denied bail and remanded to custody at a federal jail in Brooklyn. His lawyer has insisted Diddy is innocent and pleaded with a judge to release him to home detention at his Florida mansion while vowing he won’t have women visit him as he awaits trial.

In court documents unsealed Tuesday, federal prosecutors allege Combs forced women to participate in “Freak Off” sessions, which the feds describe as “elaborate and produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded.”

Prosecutors also claim Combs would ply women with drugs to “keep the victims obedient and compliant,” use video recordings of the “Freak Offs” as “collateral” for blackmail and carry guns “to intimidate and threaten” those he abused.

A 2016 surveillance video that appeared to show Diddy beat his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura surfaced in May 2024. CNN

One of Combs’ alleged victims is his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who filed a civil suit against the music mogul in November, claiming he raped and abused her. Combs settled with Ventura one day later; however, in May, a shocking surveillance video leaked and appeared to show the hip-hop star beating his ex in the hallway of a hotel in 2016. Combs then apologized for his actions in a since-deleted Instagram video.

It is unclear whether Ventura will be participating in the docuseries.
