An FDNY firefighter slugged another man who threatened him during a Bronx road rage feud and was busted for the fistfight, cops said.
Firefighter Peter Clough, 34, clashed with Jelani Footman, 28, over a smash-up earlier in the day before tensions came to a head on Edison Avenue near Bruckner Boulevard around 5:50 p.m., police said.
Footman approached Clough with a balled up fist and snarled, “I got something for you,” cops said.
In turn, Clough struck Freeman – temporarily knocking him unconscious, police said.
Freeman’s injuries were non-life-threatening and he was not hospitalized, cops said.
Clough was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, authorities said.
Footman was slapped with a menacing charge, according to police.
An FDNY spokesman told The Post Friday Clough’s status with the department had not changed after his arrest, and that officials are continuing to review the incident.
