A 3-year-old girl’s skull was fractured when a heartless, moped-riding brute allegedly rammed into her on a Bronx sidewalk and fled, police said.
Little Mylah Rojas had been walking along Holland Avenue in Williamsbridge with her mom when the two-wheeled blue moped with black stripes on the side struck her just after 1 p.m. Friday, according to authorities.
“I was right behind her and he just came out of nowhere and dragged her,” her shaken mother, Mariel Rojas told Eyewitness News.
The child was being treated for brain bleeding and swollen eyes at Jacobi Medical Center, and was in and out of consciousness, her mom told the station.
The man fled northbound on his scooter. Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the perp, who was seen wearing an orange jacket, black sweatpants and black sandals in surveillance video.
Later surveillance footage also captured the perp, who had ditched the scooter and orange jacket, limping while walking on the sidewalk.
