Actor Faizon Love — best known for starring alongside Will Ferrell in “Elf” — is being sought for allegedly hurling a credit card machine at a hotel clerk’s head after she told him she couldn’t give him the room he booked.
The 56-year-old actor has an active warrant out for his arrest on a felony assault charge — and is being sued by the California hotel employee who says she was concussed in the alleged attack, according to NBC San Diego.
Love allegedly flipped out at the Sheraton Mission Valley in San Diego on Aug. 8 when the female clerk told him that the room he booked through a third-party app was not reserved, and that she could only suggest he ask the app for a refund, a criminal complaint said.
The actor then ripped the credit card reader off its mount and chucked it at the staffer, slamming it into the left side of her head and breaking her glasses, according to police.
The unidentified clerk went to a hospital where she was diagnosed with a concussion, she told investigators.
The day after the incident, Love told his 264,000 Instagram followers that the hotel app he used was a scam.
The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office filed a criminal complaint against Love on Sept. 25 and in October a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Because he has not appeared in court, a plea has not been entered, NBC San Diego noted.
The accuser filed her lawsuit Tuesday, seeking damages for her medical bills and for the physical and emotional pain she says she suffered.
The Post has reached out to the accuser’s lawyer and the District Attorney’s office for additional information. Neither Love nor his representatives could not immediately be reached Friday.
Love, who also appeared in “The Replacements” and “Couples Retreat,” has a history of assault.
