A 14-year-old boy was busted this week in the random, caught-on-video baseball bat attack on a 58-year-old woman in Lower Manhattan, cops said.
The teen was busted Tuesday morning and charged with felony assault in connection to the random June 25 broad-daylight beatdown of a 58-year-old woman on Monroe Street near Market Street in the Two Bridges neighborhood, authorities said.
He did not say a word during the attack, and did not know the victim, who was hospitalized with bruising and swelling, cops said.
Shocking video from the scene shows the woman casually walking along the sidewalk and looking down at her phone before two young-looking brutes wearing all black ambush her from behind, police said.
The first suspect punches the woman in the back of the head, the video shows.
She backs up against the wall of a nearby store and tries to fend off the pair — as the second attacker whacks her with the black baseball bat and his partner kicks her and tries to rip her purse off her arm.
However, cops said they were not looking for any other suspects following the arrest of the teen.
The boy is being charged as a juvenile, cops said.
