A 14-year-old boy was slashed in the chest during a fight with a 13-year-old student outside their Brooklyn high school Monday, cops and sources said.
The teen was attacked with a knife outside M.S. 246 Walt Whitman on Veronica Place near Albermarle Road in Flatbush around 2:40 p.m., at dismissal time, authorities said.
The wounded teen first ran back inside his school before he was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition, cops and sources said.
The young assailant, who sources describe as only 13 years old, fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
No arrests had been made by the early evening.
The violence comes less than two weeks after two 17-year-old boys were stabbed during a vicious caught-on-video brawl in the stairwell of Martin Van Buren High School on Hillside Avenue near 231st Street in Queens Village, authorities said.
The suspected stabber in that case, a 16-year-old boy, was taken into custody, police said.
