The troubled woman accused of shoving two unsuspecting tourists onto Manhattan train tracks burst into an incoherent rant in court Thursday — as prosecutors said the chilling attack could have “easily” turned fatal.

Ebony Butts appeared to be wearing the same floral hospital gown she was arrested in early Monday morning as she pleaded her innocence in connection to the unprovoked attack.

“I didn’t push anybody, a little boy pushed me onto something,” the dazed woman rambled when asked by The Post about the alleged incident — a dangerous attack they suspect Butts may have carried out before.

Prosecutors said Butts shoved a woman onto the Delancey Street/Essex Street station train bed just after 2:15 p.m. before setting her sights on the second victim, who rushed to help her friend back onto the platform.

Fortunately, bystanders rushed to save the two scraped-up Mexican tourists — and stop Butts from escaping — before the F train rolled into the station.

“Had the train been coming sooner and without the help from a rider, it would be a graver case,” Abel McDonnell told the court.

“This is every New Yorker’s worst nightmare and could’ve easily been a double homicide.”

Butts, 42, proclaimed her innocence in several profanity-laden outbursts — which included, “What the f–k you fat f–k” to no one in particular — but formally filed a not guilty plea.

McDonnell also revealed that Butts is being investigated as the possible suspect in another subway-shoving incident that happened in Brooklyn, the details of which were not immediately available.

The accused shover has at least nine prior arrests dating back to 1999, the most recent of which was another unprovoked attack where she punched a random 38-year-old woman in the face in Brooklyn in 2016.

The victims were rescued by bystanders, who also kept Butts from fleeing the scene. Robert Mecea

Sources previously told The Post that Butts, who was taken to Bellevue Hospital for an evaluation after the shoving, is considered an emotionally disturbed person.

Because of her violent history, Judge Michelle Weber granted the prosecution’s request that Butts be remanded without bail.

As she was escorted out of the courtroom, Butts yelled: “Don’t take pictures of me, I didn’t do nothing wrong!”

She faces two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.
