An estranged husband shot his wife’s new beau to death outside the victim’s Queens home Thursday before turning himself in hours later, cops said.
Jose Centeno, 55, repeatedly blasted Antonio Cantor, 50, in the chest and stomach around 10:30 p.m. in front of the residence on 119th Street near 28th Avenue in College Point, authorities said.
The gravely wounded Cantor was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he soon succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Centeno – who sources say is separated from his wife – initially fled the scene, but turned himself in around 2 a.m. at the 109th Precinct station house, which covers the area, cops said.
Centeno, who lives less than 2 miles from the scene, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
It was not immediately clear whether the two men fought before the shooting, or if the gunman ambushed his target.
Cops also could not immediately confirm whether the woman at the center of the clash witnessed the deadly violence.
A long trail of blood spatter stained the sidewalk outside the victim’s home Friday.
