An Arizona father is behind bars on attempted murder charges after he attacked a Department of Child Safety case worker, putting him in a brutal chokehold for nearly three agonizing minutes.
De’Andre Johnson, 37, livestreamed the vicious assault on social media Tuesday.
The disturbing footage shows Johnson strangling the case worker following an hour-long interview about his daughter in the lobby of Mesa Tower, where DCS maintains offices.
A second before he pounced, Johnson fist-bumped the worker.
As the worker was walking away, Johnson then grabbed him from behind, and lifted him off his feet.
Before losing consciousness from the chokehold, the worker briefly struggles in vain to free himself.
Johnson can be seen tightening his grip around the man’s neck for almost three minutes.
Meanwhile, no one in the lobby attempts to come to the worker’s aid.
Johnson alleged the case worker had visited his 9-year-old daughter’s school, and brought her into a room to talk to her one-on-one.
Staring into the camera, Johnson repeatedly tells the worker that he became “a dead man” as soon as “you took my daughter into that room and you couldn’t tell me or show me no motherf–king video.”
The father said he was angry at the school for not telling him about the encounter “with the door closed with a man — and they can’t tell me what happened.”
“Now my daughter don’t want to come back to school. We got issues. You going to get to know me today,” Johnson said in the footage.
Johnson dropped the limp worker face first, hitting the ground where he remained motionless. People can be heard pleading with Johnson to leave him alone.
However, when Johnson sees the victim is still breathing, he attempts to grab him again. “I didn’t make my f–king point,” Johnson said.
Johnson then sat in a nearby chair, waiting for the police.
The DCS worker was taken to the hospital and has since been released.
Johnson was charged with felony aggravated assault and attempted murder.
In 2017, he was convicted of aggravated assault after he assaulted a man he didn’t know.
He pushed the victim to the ground, kicked him and stomped on the back of his head until he lost consciousness, reports 12News.
