An FDNY paramedic was arrested this week for allegedly running over his ex-wife and dragging her with his car during a fight in Brooklyn, authorities said.
Brent Blake, 54, allegedly barreled into the woman when she got out of his car on Linden Boulevard and Hinsdale Street in East New York on May 14 at around 11:10 p.m., according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
“I exited the vehicle and [he] ran me over with his car and I grabbed the passenger’s window for support and he dragged me with the car,” the victim told police, a criminal complaint shows.
Blake — a 26-year department veteran — was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, attempted assault and harassment on Monday.
At his Brooklyn Criminal Court arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released without bail.
Court records show Blake filed for divorce in 2021.
The uncontested divorce was granted two months before the alleged late-night incident happened, according to court documents.
The FDNY has since suspended him for 28 days without pay, a department spokesperson told The Post.
His next court date is Feb. 9.
