A 60-year-old man was shot dead inside his Manhattan apartment in what authorities described as a targeted attack.
The victim, Tyrone Swinton, was blasted twice in the chest around 11:11 a.m. in his Harlem home on West 116 Street and Malcolm X Boulevard, according to cops.
Authorities said responding police officers discovered Swinton lying face down in a pool of blood on the floor.
EMS rushed the unconscious man to Mount Sinai Morningside, but he could not be saved.
His grieving family remembered him as a “great, loving man” who worked as a chef and enjoyed going fishing.
“He was a good one,” his devastated mom said over the phone. “He was a good son, I miss him. I know that.”
His older brother Robert, 65, said he leaves behind three kids. He worked as a chef and enjoyed going fishing with his family.
“He was a great, loving man,” he said.
“He was a good, fabulous guy. He was a beautiful man with a loving family.”
Police said it’s unclear what led to the vicious crime.
No arrests have been made by Wednesday night, authorities said.
