A horrified Florida dad caught his pervy drunk tenant — a registered sex offender — lying on top of his sleeping 7-year-old daughter with his jeans around his ankles inside her bedroom, according to police.
Daniel D’Angelo, 53, was cuffed Sunday night after the young girl allegedly woke up to the shirtless creep lying on top of her, caressing her leg and prodding her ear, according to a police report from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, WFTX reported.
The girl’s father — unaware of the sicko’s sex offender status — walked into her bedroom inside his Port Charlotte home around 11 p.m. and discovered the sickening act, sparking a fight as he rushed to pull the fiend off his daughter.
The outraged dad then snapped two photos of the predator — one showing him pulling up his pants while lying on the child’s bed and another of him leaving the room shirtless, court records show.
Police said the sexual deviant is an alcoholic who had spent the entire day drinking beer.
The deranged perp, who failed to notify authorities of his new address after moving in earlier this month, claimed the nightmarish ordeal was a setup when investigators obtained the explicit photos and found his shirt in the girl’s bed, court records show.
The Sunshine State requires sex offenders to register their new address within 48 hours.
D’Angelo’s previous roommate and landlord also experienced issues with him before he moved out.
“I was afraid of him because he kept banging on my door and banging on my door all the time,” former roommate Robin Hart told WINK News.
“I kept saying, ‘Go away, go away, go away. Leave me alone.’”
Landlord Kevin said his degenerate former renter lived in a troubling fog of booze.
“He’d just get so drunk that he didn’t know what he was doing,” the property owner told the outlet.
“He could barely walk. He just did things that normal people actually never do.”
The accused molester was charged with second-degree lewd and lascivious conduct and third-degree failure to register as a sex offender, according to jail records.
He is being held at the Charlotte County Jail in Punta Gorda.
