The maniac charged with slashing a Queens straphanger’s throat in a horrific random subway attack claimed he couldn’t remember pulling off the grisly crime, prosecutors revealed in court Thursday.

Luis Pallchisaca, 21, allegedly admitted to cops that he was the grinning fiend caught on surveillance footage of the brutal Sunday night attack — but said he wasn’t “sure” that he’d stabbed 25-year-old restaurant worker Robert Gaspar.

“Yes, that’s me [in] the picture,” Pallchisaca told police, Assistant District Attorney Samuel Pellegrino said at the accused slasher’s arraignment in Queens Criminal Court.

Luis Pallchisaca, 21, allegedly admitted he’s on surveillance footage — but can’t remember the subway slashing. NYPD

“I was wearing that shirt as of yesterday or the day before yesterday,” Pallchisaca allegedly said. ”I remember but I don’t think I stabbed him. I just scared him and left. I scared someone who was next to me.

“I’m not sure if I stabbed him,” he continued. “I thought. I already said I scared him with a knife but I’m not sure I stabbed him.”

But prosecutors said footage proved Pallchisaca, of Richmond Hill, walked up to the victim inside a 7 train, slashed his throat and then stabbed him in the back multiple times without saying a word.

The accused attacker was already inside the train when Gaspar, who was returning home from work, got on at the Mets-Willets Point station around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The victim was hospitalized in critical condition with a breathing tube, his pal told The Post this week.

Pallchisaca, who already had two open cases for assault and theft, ran off after the slashing, prosecutors said.

“The defendant has picked up three arrests in the last 30-something odd days, including for false impersonation and attempted assault in the second degree, in addition to this current arrest,” Pellegrino told Judge Lana Schlessinger in court.

The prosecutor said Gaspar “is not able to speak” as a result of his wounds.

“After his surgery he can only write or nod  at this point in time,” Pellegrino said.

He asked that Pallchisaca be held without bail, while his defense lawyer asked for $100,000 bail.

Schlessinger instead set bail at $500,000 in cash on the charges, including attempted murder, assault and weapon possession.

“As alleged, the defendant mercilessly stabbed the victim in an unprovoked attack and caused life-threatening injuries,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement.

“Our subway system is not a battle ground; it is a lifeline for many. My office will use all tools at our disposal to prosecute those who undermine the sense of safety for millions of straphangers in this city.”
