On Tuesday, the FBI apprehended Joel Vargas-Escobar, an illegal El Salvadoran immigrant and alleged MS-13 gangbanger, after four years he spent as a wanted fugitive in the United States.
He is allegedly involved in hardcore crimes, with links to 11 murders and accusations that he ordered two of those killings.
This is the kind of person the Biden administration begged and yelled and screamed and fought tooth and nail to keep in America.
Violent killers and robbers and rapists and thugs.
Biden’s wave-them-in policy — which included a willful failure to meaningfully enforce any rules against people after they jumped the border — was always going to be a disaster; it was always going to make it easier for monsters like Vargas to stay in-country.
Even as wanted fugitives, as Vargas has been since 2021.
Imagine if we’d had a stronger policy in place during those intervening years, with ICE and CBP working hand in glove with law enforcement instead of being bound hand and foot by the White House.
It’s only by chance that Vargas didn’t commit another string of murders or sex crimes or home invasions.
Insanely, national Democrats are still doubling down on their support for people like Vargas: Some 33 Senate Dems voted no on the recent Laken Riley Act (which makes it easier for ICE to grab criminal illegals), as well as 156 House Dems.
A “no” against the Laken Riley Act was an open vote defending the right of illegal criminal aliens at the expense of citizens.
And Biden’s apparatchiks in the judicial system, like Judge James Boasberg, have intervened to prevent Trump from sending such people back where they came from — interdicting flights filled with Tren de Aragua thugs on their way to El Salvador.
What is it going to take before Democrats realize that America simply isn’t with them on this?
Because the voters they allegedly represent have spoken.
And they see their border erasure for what it was.
