Prosecutors are investigating “new leads” about accused sex abuser Marilyn Manson — as they expect to decide “soon” on whether the shock rocker will face charges.
The 55-year-old goth singer, whose real name is Brian Warner, has already been investigated for years over accusations of rape, sexual assault and torture by at least a dozen women, including his former fiance, actor Evan Rachel Wood.
Even so, specialist sex crimes prosecutors are still “carefully reviewing new leads and additional evidence that continue to come to our attention,” Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said in an update to the case Wednesday.
“New evidence has emerged within the last few weeks, adding to an already extensive case file presented to our office by the [Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department],” the DA said.
“It is our office’s responsibility to ensure that we have a complete picture of the admissible evidence available before making a filing decision,” he added.
“We anticipate making a filing decision soon and will provide an update when that time comes.”
Senior staffers at the DA’s office have met with the victims and continue to remain in contact with them throughout the investigation, he said.
Despite requests from some of the victims to meet personally with Gascón, he said it would be “inappropriate” to do so until a decision on charges has been made. After that, “I look forward to meeting with the victims to discuss how my office can continue to support them,” the DA said.
The Post has reached out to Manson’s attorney for comment.
Authorities raided Manson’s West Hollywood home in 2021 after several women came forward accusing him of sexual abuse. His record label dropped him in response.
Manson has vehemently denied the allegations, though he has settled at least two such lawsuits.
“Game of Thrones” actor Esmé Bianco filed a lawsuit against Manson alleging the rocker sexually, physically and emotionally abused her.
Manson deprived Bianco of food and sleep, locked her in a bedroom, whipped her, gave her electric shocks and threatened to enter her room and rape her during the night while they were dating in 2011, she claimed in a 2021 court filing.
Manson denied the allegations, calling Bianco’s claims “untrue” and “meritless” and suggested they are “a key component of a coordinated attack” by women who want to “dishonestly seek to monetize and exploit the #MeToo movement.”
He claimed his accusers “spent months plotting, workshopping and fine-tuning their stories to turn what were consensual friendships and relationships with [him] from more than a decade ago into twisted tales that bear no resemblance to reality.”
He eventually settled with Bianco in 2023.
Manson also settled another case that same year with a Jane Doe who claimed he orally and vaginally raped her, according to the Los Angeles Times.
In July, accuser Bianca Allaine Kyne revealed herself as the Jane Doe behind a 2023 lawsuit accusing Manson of sexually grooming and abusing the then-unidentified victim in the late 1990s, including claims that he repeatedly raped her starting when she was just 16-years-old in 1995.
