An attacker slashed a woman inside a Midtown train station early Tuesday after she asked him to stop staring at her, cops and sources said.
The 28-year-old woman was standing on the northbound C train platform at the 50th Street station around 3:10 a.m. when she noticed the brute with his eyes fixed on her and asked him to stop, authorities and sources said.
He then turned violent and slashed the woman in the torso with a knife, cops said.
He bolted from the station and had not been caught by Wednesday.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The suspect, described as a man in his 50s, about 6-foot tall, was last seen wearing yellow pants and a blue shirt, carrying a black duffle bag.
Surveillance footage released by the NYPD later Tuesday shows him strolling on the sidewalk and looking around.
Anyone with information on the attack is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
