A man’s wallet likely saved his life when a shooter fired at him as he sat in his car on Long Island this week, police said.
One of the bullets became lodged in the wallet, which the man kept in his pocket – but he was amazingly not injured at all, Suffolk County Police said.
He was in his car around 10:50 a.m. Wednesday at the Homestead Village Apartment Complex at Homestead Drive and Grant Court in Coram when the gunman unloaded multiple rounds into the vehicle, cops said.
Police said the shooting was targeted.
No arrests had been made as of Thursday.
Anyone with information on the gunfire is asked to contact the Suffolk County Police’s Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
