The sicko sought for raping a 5-year-old girl on Staten Island last month was nabbed Tuesday, cops said.
Dominique Giles, 30, of East Harlem in Manhattan, was picked up by the Regional Fugitive Task Force and faces a laundry list of charges in the sexual assault of the young girl, who is known to him, authorities and law-enforcement sources said.
Giles is accused of preying on the girl inside a residence at Richmond Terrace and Sharpe Avenue in Port Richmond around 5:40 a.m. Jan. 22.
The fiend took off after the attack, and medics brought the little girl to Richmond University Medical Center for evaluation.
Giles’ arrest came less than a week after the NYPD identified him as the suspect in the heinous act and released his mugshot.
He was charged with three counts of first-degree rape, a single count of second-degree rape, two counts of third-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse, one count of forcible touching and six counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
This was not Giles’ first brush with the law, authorities said.
In April, he was arrested for allegedly choking and pummeling his girlfriend while breaking her phone in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of Staten Island.
He was charged with felony criminal mischief of property and assault in that case, police said.
