A male Brooklyn teacher has been arrested for shoving a 13-year-old female student, authorities said.
The young teen was trying to pick up a computer tablet inside PS 295, The Studio School of Arts & Culture, in South Slope around 1 p.m. Monday when instructor Joshua Kahn, 59, became irate and yelled at her before pushing her six to eight times, causing her to hit her back on a bookshelf, police said.
The student suffered bruising and was taken from the school on 18th Street near Sixth Avenue to Methodist Hospital for observation, cops said.
It is unclear what exactly led to the assault.
Kahn was arrested around 6:30 p.m. and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, assault and harassment, police said.
The city’s Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
