The NYPD is on the hunt for a man who allegedly tried to snatch a little girl from her mother as they waited in front of a food truck in Brooklyn.
The would-be kidnapper tried to get hold of the 7-year-old on Wyckoff Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Friday, cops said.
She had been waiting with her 36-year-old mother when the stranger “came running by and attempted to physically grab the child,” according to police.
The girl’s mom broke his grip after a brief struggle, cops said.
The man — caught on surveillance footage stumbling down the street and falling into a table and chairs on the sidewalk — headed north toward Flushing Avenue.
The girl wasn’t hurt.
Cops described the man as having a light complexion, slim build and black mustache and beard.
He was last seen wearing a camouflage hoodie, black pants and gray sneakers.
Cops are asking anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
