An off-duty NYPD cop was wounded in an apparently targeted shooting in Yonkers Tuesday, authorities said.
The officer was sitting in a car in the area of the Saw Mill River Parkway and Tompkins Avenue around 11:30 a.m. when the gunman walked up to him and fired several rounds — striking him in the arm, according to Yonkers Police and law enforcement sources.
“This appears to be a targeted attack at this time, and there is no standing risk to the general public,” a City of Yonkers Police Department spokesman said.

The wounded cop was hospitalized in stable condition, police said.
The NYPD confirmed that the victim was an off-duty officer, but did not provide any additional information about him.
The shooter fled the scene and has not yet been caught.

No other injuries or property damage were reported, cops said.
Yonkers Police detectives from the Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit are “actively investigating” the shooting, authorities said.
