A man was busted Tuesday in connection to a series of robberies, violent attacks and sexual assaults at Queens spas — including one case where he opened fire, critically wounding a man, cops said.
Shahab Usman, 40, faces a slew of charges — attempted murder, rape, criminal sexual act, sex abuse, robbery, assault, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing — in connection to a disturbing spree that began Nov. 26 and ended Monday, police said.
Usman first targeted the Jamaica Massage Spa on Jamaica Avenue near 185th Street, where he and an accomplice — who is still on the lam — flashed a gun and a knife, and demanded cash and property from two women, 45 and 49, and a man, 43, cops said.
The duo grabbed three cell phones and about $5,000 cash during the 11:10 p.m. stick-up before fleeing east on Jamaica Avenue, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
Then around 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Usman flashed a gun as he barged into the Shining Massage Spa on Liberty Avenue near 114th Street in Little Guyana, demanding cash and property from a 57-year-old woman, cops said.
The woman tried to evade him, but he threw her to the ground and hit her in the face with the gun before grabbing her cellphone and $700, police said.
She was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, with injuries to her face and leg, authorities said.
Usman ran off, heading east on Liberty Avenue.
Less than an hour later, he headed to the CH168 Spa on Jamaica Avenue near 124th Street in Richmond Hill and made the same demands, cops said.
When a 45-year-old woman said she had nothing to hand over, Usman tried to sexually assault her, police said.
Then he let off a single round that struck a 52-year-old man — who was sitting in another room — in the stomach, cops said.
That man was also taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
Usman’s final stick-up happened around 3:40 p.m. Monday at the Sun Spa on Jamaica Avenue near 112th Street in Richmond Hill, cops said.
He again flashed a gun before demanding a woman take him to a private room, where he placed the weapon to her head and sexually assaulted her, police said.
He grabbed $190 from that woman and an unknown amount of cash from two others whom he also threatened with the gun, authorities said.
Usman again fled and remained on the loose until cops caught him around midnight Tuesday, cops said.
Usman, who has no prior arrests, was awaiting arraignment Tuesday evening.
The NYPD could not confirm whether all of the victims were employees of the spas Usman allegedly targeted.
