A stranger threw a 65-year-old woman to the floor and beat her during a clash on a Brooklyn train, police said this week, as they released footage of the suspected attacker.
The victim and her attacker argued on board the southbound Q train pulling into the Newkirk Plaza station in Flatbush around 4:15 a.m. July 11 — when the verbal feud suddenly turned violent, police said.
The suspect started punching the straphanger in the face, before throwing her to the floor and kicking her multiple times, cops said.
The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
The suspect, who is still on the lam, was last seen fleeing north on East 16th Street, police said.
Video released late Tuesday shows him walking on the train platform.
He’s described as between 35 and 40 years old, around 5 feet 6, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a hat, black sweatshirt and orange shorts.
The assault came after a 37-year-old woman was shoved inside another Brooklyn subway station as she carried her infant son earlier this month, police also said Tuesday.
The victim was making her way up the stairs at the Crown Heights-Utica Avenue station — while carrying her 9-month-old son in a stroller — around 10:30 a.m. July 5 when she jostled with a man wearing what appears to be an Amazon vest and a woman who were also on the staircase, cops said.
Suddenly, the suspects flashed a knife and pushed the mom, causing her to lose her balance and hit the baby’s head against the wall, authorities said.
The baby was treated for minor injuries and the mom was unharmed, cops said.
Both suspects took off after the assault.
The man is described as between 25 and 30 years old, with a dark complexion, standing around 5 feet 5 with a slim build.
In addition to the blue vest, he wore a white T-shirt, gray shorts and white sneakers at the time of the incident, police said.
The woman is believed to be about the same age and height, also with a dark complexion, and with a heavy build.
She was last seen wearing a pink shirt — apparently with her cellphone tucked in her chest area — with gray pants and gray sneakers.
