Four students were slashed during a Monday morning brawl inside a Staten Island high school — and a fifth teen was busted, police said.
An 18-year-old male student was slashed in the face, a 17-year-old boy on the lip, and two other boys, 16 and 17, on the hand during the 9:45 a.m. fracas inside Port Richmond High School on St. Josephs Avenue, authorities said.
Two of the teens were taken to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment, and two refused medical attention, cops said.
A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody following the melee, cops said.
“The safety and wellbeing of our students is our absolute top priority. Our outstanding school staff and NYPD School Safety Agents immediately responded to an incident between students at the school,” city Department of Education spokeswoman Jenna Lyle said in a statement. “We will be providing additional emotional supports to any student who needs it.”
The school does not have metal detectors in place, sources said.
