A Texas mom allegedly duct-taped a 7-year-old relative’s mouth shut then locked her in a cage for hours under a Christmas tree.
Single mom Rose Anderson zip-tied the girl in her Houston home as “discipline” for “her behavior at school,” according to court documents obtained by ABC 13, which only described the youngster as a relative.
She kicked the girl and left her locked up for hours without food, water or a bathroom — forcing her to urinate on herself, the docs said.
The girl was finally freed — but Anderson will likely now spend the holidays in jail, facing a felony charge of unlawful restraint, the outlet noted. She is being held at the Harris County Jail on a $10,000 bond after an initial hearing Sunday.
“It was strange to me,” neighbor Lonnie Hatchet said of the accusations of brutal punishment.
“What happened to time out? Take away one of the Christmas gifts, but not the dog cage — come on!”
Anderson was described as a single mom working three jobs.
