A crazed woman was captured on video allegedly pretending to be interested in purchasing a luxury car that she then stole after locking the doors and running over the owner in his own driveway.
Ring camera footage caught the woman ringing the victim’s doorbell looking to buy a 2022 Porsche Cayenne he had listed on Autotrader, according to Peel Regional Police in Canada.
The woman then got behind the wheel of the car and peeled out of the driveway, slamming into the victim’s body and dragging him into the street before fleeing with the stolen car, police said.
The suspect — described as a South Asian woman — showed up at the victim’s Toronto home on Sept. 6 and told the victim she was interested in “taking a look” at the Porsche and was waiting for her father to arrive.
The video cuts to the victim’s driveway where the suspect can be seen in the driver’s seat of the Porsche.
The victim exited the car and closed the passenger side door before walking around the hood and reaching for the driver’s side handle, which appeared to be locked, according to the footage.
The car moved slightly as the victim attempted to get inside the visibly locked car before walking towards the rear of the vehicle. That’s when the suspect aggressively peeled out of the driveway, running over the victim and dragging his body onto the street.
The victim appeared to be caught on one of the rear wheels, according to the footage, before getting back on his feet and grabbing his back.
Police said the woman fled the scene in the stolen car, adding that an accomplice, parked across from the victim’s home in a gray Bentley Bentayga, was also involved in the daytime theft.
The victim told CTV News Toronto that he sustained injuries to his elbow, hands and legs, and required medical attention after the incident.
