Slap the teen trolls

I am begging any celebrity with young followers to condemn the hatred spewed by Nick Fuentes (“Fuentes builds a troll army,” Rikki Schlott, Nov. 19).

Is no influencer, singer, actor or athlete brave enough to come out and say this must stop? Fuentes has accomplished nothing in his life to warrant a following. No good Christian would ever accept his vitriol against Jews, women or black people. I don’t believe in censorship, but hatred must not go unchallenged.

And to Fuentes, I ask: Have you no sense of decency?

NYPD’s bravest

As a retired law-enforcement officer, I express my admiration and gratitude for NYPD officer Sharjeel Waris’ bravery in facing and taking down a shotgun-wielding thug in Brownsville, Brooklyn (“Facing down death,” Nov. 18).

I thank God he survived this encounter after taking a shotgun blast to the face. The thug he took down was no loss to society. Waris acted in the highest tradition of any police or peace officer in the nation.

Office trasher bust

I’m just curious as to how an intruder was able to enter into the office of US Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba, and why no one seems to be questioning the lack of security there (“Habba ‘office trasher’ busted,” Nov. 16).

Try to enter any of the five New York City District Attorney’s Offices without being stopped first by security — it wouldn’t happen.

Imam’s Jew hate

As a CUNY professor myself, I was saddened to learn that a self-proclaimed imam could not participate in an interfaith CUNY workshop in a dignified and respectful manner (“Revolt at CUNY ‘Zionist,’ ” Nov. 20) .

I would invite this person to remember and embrace the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. : “We must all learn to live together as brothers or we will all perish together as fools.”

No comrade in AI

Adam B. Coleman’s column on technocrats using AI to sell socialism highlights a real danger (“Future Shock,” Postscript, Nov. 16).

But the problem is not only the ideology; it’s the consolidation of power behind it. History shows that centralized planning fails, and combining it with opaque AI systems only magnifies the risk.

Instead of turning to redistributive schemes, we should focus on strengthening competition, encouraging innovation and expanding opportunities for education. These solutions preserve individual freedom while addressing AI’s disruptions without sacrificing the principles of a free society.

If we accept “AI-driven socialism” as progress, we risk giving up both economic liberty and personal agency. The better path is to embrace and reform capitalism, not abandon it.

Close to treason

Six Democrats, each with military or intelligence history, made a professional video imploring military personnel to blatantly disregard orders from their superiors, including the Commander-in-Chief (“On the Edge of Sedition,” Editorial, Nov. 20).

This is almost like inciting an insurrection. These Democrats should be arrested for treason and dealt with accordingly.
