This guy’s bad news for the women in his life.

A New York man who was wanted for killing his wife in Brooklyn apparently regretted his actions — and decided to head upstate and also kill his ex-wife, who he decided “deserved it” more, officials said at his sentencing this week.

Timothy Taylor, of Brooklyn, stabbed his former spouse, Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, to death before her three horrified kids in her Schenectady home in May 2023 — some two weeks after also stabbing his then-current wife, Theresa Gregg, in her New York City home, officials said.

As he pleaded guilty on July 1 to the upstate slaying, prosecutors revealed his bizarre change of heart before slaughtering the 44-year-old Folkes-Taylor.

“He told the detectives that after he had killed his then current wife he felt bad, and he knew he had to come to Schenectady to kill his former wife because he harbored so much animosity toward her and in his words, she, unlike his first victim, deserved it,” the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday after Taylor pleaded guilty at a July 1 hearing.

Taylor, 38, faces a separate murder indictment in Brooklyn for killing Gregg, a mother of two who worked as a special officer for the city’s Department of Homeless Services.

After Gregg’s slaying, Taylor then had his alleged feeling of remorse for the attack — and made the call to instead turn his ager on his ex, Folkes-Taylor. So he traveled to upstate New York on May 27, 2023, entered her home and stabbed her to death.

As she was attacked, Folkes-Taylor heroically defended the children, two of whom were also Taylor’s, officials said.

“People should know that Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, while facing down her killer and knowing his intent, made sure to protect her children and after stabbing her more than 22 times, Mr. Taylor fled into the night without harming them,” District Attorney Robert M. Carney said in a statement.

“These children, particularly the oldest who was a high school student at the time, and their extended family, were instrumental to our office in bringing this case.”

After committing his horrific attack, Taylor then snuck out of his ex-wife’s bedroom window and walked to downtown Schenectady, where he ditched his clothing along the way. He went back to his hotel, gathered his things and got on a bus.

On June 2, 2023, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Taylor was arrested by NYPD officers at a bar in Philadelphia, PA and was extradited to New York to face the multiple murder charges.

Folkes-Taylor has three children, two with Taylor, officials said.

Officials said the couple was married for more than 10 years and “there were multiple incidents of domestic violence.”

“At the time of the murder, Taylor had three pending charges in Schenectady City Court for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Criminal Contempt and Harassment, all involving the victim, Folkes-Taylor, and all charges that he had absconded on having relocated his residence to Brooklyn,” prosecutors said.

Taylor agreed to a sentence of 22 years to life as part of his plea deal. He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 16 in Schenectady County Court.
